The
Perpetrator and the Crime Motives Should Be
Discovered

According to press reports,
yesterday, on April 9, 2007, around 21:30, an
amount of TNT exploded in the car of MP and
“Zëri i Popullit” daily editor in chief Mr.
Erion Braçe. The explosion occurred only minutes
after Mr. Braçe parked and walked away from the
car.
The TNT explosion in a public
place such as the “Zog I” Boulevard could have
been accompanied by severe consequences for
walkers-by. Fortunately, nobody was hurt.
AHC, considering the target of
the TNT, considers the act a dangerous criminal
one targeting a person enjoying parliamentary
immunity who is, at the same time, an editor of
a media outlet.
This is the reason why AHC deems
it necessary to suggest to competent bodies to
conduct quick, objective, and comprehensive
investigations that will discover the
perpetrator and the real motives why it was
committed.
