Local
penitentiary trainers were trained
On 10-20 March 2008 AHC organized
‘Train of Trainers in the Netherlands’ program.
11 Albanian local trainers successfully finished
this training. In the end of this 10 days
program, all the participants got a certificate
which demonstrates their active participation
and their abilities in the training for
juveniles, women and rehabilitation programs in
the penitentiary institutions.
The participants were trained
from 9 expert trainers with lots of experience
in the penitentiary institutions. Presentations
and case studies were combined with 6 visits in
different pre-detention facilities and prisons
all over the Netherlands. The participants had
the opportunity to see how pre trial detainees
and prisoners were treated in practice.
In the end all the three working
groups presented a part of the training which
their will give together with their colleagues
in the institutions where they work. All the
Albanian trainers were equipped with a complete
training manual, in order to use it in their
further trainings.
AHC is been informed from the GDP
that some trainings have already been carried
out; some others are in the process by the local
trainers in the coming months.
