Human rights, justice and electoral reform – subject of program debate in Ora News

 

 

16.10.2008

On 16 October 2008, Mrs. Vasilika Hysi, executive director of AHC was invited at Ora News. The topics of the discussion ware: the AHC activities, human rights concerns in Albania and legal reforms. She answered the questions of the journalist as regards the situation of human rights in Albania, justice reform and the progress of electoral reform.  

 

Analyzing the abovementioned issues, Mrs. Hysi highlighted the necessity of monitoring the respect of human rights in Albania, the need of the justice and electoral reform with a wide participation of group of interest, acceleration of the rhythm of Electoral Code approvment and the preparation of electoral infrastructure, especially of the voter’s list and cards of identity of Albanians.

 

Regarding to justice reform, she emphasized the necessity of the development of justice reform through a large discussion, aiming the increasing of professionalism, effectiveness, and efficassity off the independence of judicial system.
