PROJECT
AHC
Correspondent Networking in some districts of the country
The
AHC project AHC correspondent networking in some districts of the
country has started from January 2002 and is still continuing. This
correspondent networking covers 7 districts of Albania such as Kukės,
Gjirokastėr, Fier, Vlorė, Korēė, Elbasan, Shkodėr.
The mission of this network and its
activities is to monitor the situation of human rights in
different areas in the above-mentioned districts. AHCs correspondents
in these districts monitor closely human rights situation and inform the
central office in Tirana about the findings regarding specific human
rights violations committed by public administration at the local level.
AHC thereafter denounces these verified cases through public statements
and at the same time puts pressure upon the respective state institution
responsible for that specific human rights violation in order for the
latter to take immediate measures to restore the violated right of the
humble citizen.
