PRELIMINARY REPORT ON THE PROGRESS OF THE GENERAL ELECTIONS PROCESS OF JULY 3, 2005 IN ALBANIA

 

 

 

The publication “Juvenile Justice System in Albania (Consideration on its present and future)[1]

 

 

This publication has as its main goal to give information to all the state authorities, civil society and the public regarding some issues about some organization and functioning aspects of juvenile justice system in Albania, about the problems that are shown in practice as the efforts that are doing for improving its effectiveness.

In this study is presented a view of the institutions responsibilities that realizes juvenile justice system, a detailed analysis of the actual legislation and the projectproposal from the group of Ministry of Justice, for which AHC has given its expertise regarding the most important issues, such as, the creation of the sections or courts for minors, the specialized free legal service for minors, the application of the alternative punishment, the role of the psicologist and social worker in a penal process, etc,. In this publication are reflected even the most important recommendations and results of this study.

This study will help all the respresentatives of the state government, legislative and executive one, the civil society and all the persons that want to contribute in the juvenile justice reform.
